Portrait of Jyeshtha
Lights
Whoever is born with the Moon in Jyeshtha is the person others call when things go wrong. There is natural authority — not the kind that raises its voice: the kind that walks into a room, and the room puts itself in order.
Shadows
Control: protecting and commanding are close relatives, and the elder sister can slide into running other people’s lives entirely — for their own good, naturally. There is the Scorpionic memory for wounds: Jyeshtha does not forget, and her forgiveness has to be earned twice.
In love
In love Jyeshtha is a fortress with a single key. Winning her is slow — trust must be earned at her pace, and the tests are not announced — but whoever gets in, gets in for ever: her loyalty has the endurance of all things Saturn and the intensity of all things Scorpio.
At work
Jyeshtha’s vocations lie where responsibility is the job. Leadership in difficult situations: not ordinary administration — crisis management: this is the mansion of commanders in emergencies, of the people who get called when the ship is taking on water.
The rest is in Vol. II “I Nakshatra”, chapter 23. The texts on this page are translated from the Italian edition. The book
Living Jyeshtha well
- Choose the places of your abdication: a person, a room, an hour of the day.
- Practise asking: one request for help a week.
