From Vol. II
whoever truly listens, in the end, knows everything and holds everything together.
Portrait of Shravana
Lights
Whoever is born with the Moon in Shravana possesses the rarest art of conversation: attentive silence. There is true listening — not the pause while waiting for one’s turn: the total attention that makes the other feel, for once, truly received — and whoever experiences it once comes back for ever: this is the mansion of the people to whom everyone tells everything.
Shadows
The unguarded ear absorbs everything — and Shravana can fill up with the noise of the world until she no longer hears her own voice: she listens to everyone, and listens to herself last.
In love
In love Shravana is the partner who makes you exist: with her you are listened to as nowhere else — your days have an archive, your words a place where they are kept, your silences someone who hears them change tone.
At work
Shravana’s vocations lie where listening is the heart of the job. Teaching, in the classroom and beyond: this is the mansion of teachers who were once great pupils, and of popularisation that makes the difficult simple.
The rest is in Vol. II “I Nakshatra”, chapter 27. The texts on this page are translated from the Italian edition. The book
